Star Wars & Sin City
Today was cheap movie day. Thought some escapism might be fun today. So went to 2 movies.
Star Wars - after the previous 2 rather boring installments, wasn't sure what to expect. But Star Wars III turned out quite entertaining. I wasn't exactly expecting a realistic story so I could excuse the very bad dialogue, and the very wooden acting. Still, with that in mind, that Hayden guy who plays Anakin Skywalker manages to deliver some really unconvincing acting. He seems almost uncomfortable in his role. For a good part of the movie, he exemplifies "how not to act." But he does become watchable when he turns evil.
Sin City - the retro comicbook style is fun and cute. This movie is one big fantasy-fest for the stereotypical juvenile straight (white) male. Totally non-PC. Funny only if you're not easily offended.
